Watch Us Weave will offer something for every interest and ability, a series of week-long summer camps for teens and pre-teens and custom personalized weaving classes for adults. We would like to share the joy of this historic art form and help our friends and neighbors explore a new lifelong hobby.
Ages 13-17 years
Teens will explore the historic art of weaving using an Inkle loom to create colorful woven accessories including belts. guitar/camera straps, headbands, lanyards and shoelaces. Interested teens will also be given the opportunity to learn how to sew or weave using standard floor, tabletop, frame or tapestry looms.
Ages 10-13 years
Pre-teens will explore the basics of classic fiber arts using a frame loom to create potholders, placemats and coasters. Using recycled and repurposed materials, we will teach the importance of sustainable creation, critical thinking and creativity in a fun and practical manner. Interested students are also welcome to try advanced weaving techniques on Inkle and table looms.

Adults will design and make their own rugs or table runners on tabletop or standard floor looms. You pick the style colors and materials and we will start you on your way to creating a beautiful finished piece in about three hours. Classes last about 3 hours, times and dates are flexible throughout the year, contact the shop for available slots.
